A popular service is something known as a digital mailbox. This is exactly what it sounds like, a service that collects letters you normally receive in your regular letterbox. But since it is a digital service, it comes with extra functions that are both smoother and safer than a letterbox. More than 140 public authorities and municipalities use digital mailboxes. These include the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Companies Registration Office, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Board of Agriculture, the Swedish Enforcement Authority, the Swedish National Land Survey, the Swedish Pensions Agency, the Swedish Tax Agency, the Swedish Transport Agency and the Swedish Transport Agency.

There are currently three different digital mailboxes: Billo, Min myndighetspost and Kivra. Kivra is by far the largest digital mailbox in Sweden with more than 50,000 affiliated companies and more than 6 million users.

Of course, you should choose the mailbox that suits you best, but here we have chosen to show examples of what you can do with Kivra, since it has the most functions and is used by the largest number of people. Through Kivra you receive important digital mail such as invoices, tax returns, pension specifications and credit reports. But you can also have receipts for your purchases sent directly to Kivra instead of as paper receipts, from affiliated companies. This applies, for example, to ICA and Åhléns.

Another practical feature is that you can pay bills and invoices you receive directly in Kivra. This means you avoid having to keep track of paper invoices and key in long OCR numbers. All it takes is the push of a button.

Getting a digital mailbox is easy and only takes a minute or two. You enter your email address, telephone number, personal identity number and identify with Mobile BankID. After that you will automatically start receiving mail digitally from connected companies and authorities with whom you have a relationship.
